Auto Accident Injuries

Car accidents tend to produce injuries despite how low the speed or minimal the impact. Initially, the pain or stiffness may not be limiting enough to miss work or see a doctor, but it may become chronic and begin to affect your daily activities. Seeing a chiropractor after a car accident may uncover any underlying injuries that traditional medicine might miss.

Chronic Pain

Repetitive injuries, prior spinal surgeries and trauma can cause chronic pain to develop over time. Dr. Yacucci has established a treatment protocol that combines manual therapies, exercises and nutrition, as well as working along with other pain practitioners. While following this protocol, many patients have been able to decrease the use of pain medication and increase their physical activity.

Adjustments & Manipulations

When vertebrae are out of alignment, it can affect the flow of the messages that our brain sends to our body. An adjustment is often the application of pressure by the chiropractor to move a vertebrae back into place.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process. This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by provoking the release of the body's natural relievers of pain; relaxing the muscles and allowing a body to return to its normal state.

Therapeutic Exercise & Core Strengthening

Targeting specific zones of the body can increase flexibility and improve overall fitness. Various exercises are available that focus on particular muscle areas. These activities promote better movement and can lead to a more toned body.

Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage is an excellent method for improving overall health and musculoskeletal efficiency. Massage aids in the removal of toxins that can build up in the muscles of the body, improves circulation, and increases flexibility in both muscles and connective tissue within the body.
